I just thought you should probably know, Jenifer and I are not your typical accountants.

For one thing, we promise to do our best to make the complex issues of payroll and accounting simple. Novel concept, huh?

We also promise not to make you feel stupid for asking questions or for having an “accounting mess” to clean up.

We wear jeans and comfy shoes in our office because we hate ties and tight dress shoes that make us uncomfortable, just like you hate accountants that make you uncomfortable.

We know that accounting is weird and illogical and we don’t pretend otherwise. We just make it our business to know all the bizarre tax and accounting rules and how you can make them work for your small business.

My Story

When I started this business in 2002, I was fresh out of college. I had just finished my first season of tax preparation for another firm and decided that I wanted to follow in my parent’s footsteps and start my own tax preparation business. I began from scratch, marketing my services to students at the local college campus and slowly grew my practice through referrals and direct mail advertising.

In 2003, I added bookkeeping services and the business got too big for me to handle alone. So, my husband Chris joined me and helped me continue to grow the practice. Fast forward a bit and Chris and I have been privileged to serve hundreds of small business and individual clients all over California and the United States.

When we decided to have children I didn’t realize just how difficult the intense tax season would be for them. By the time I had my third child, I realized that running a tax business was unsustainable for me while being fully engaged as a mom. So we found an amazing man named Owen Arnoff (a highly qualified Enrolled Agent) to take over our tax clients and bid farewell to the tax business. Now I have enough time to focus on my kids, while still providing excellent bookkeeping services.

Since the beginning, my mission has always been to make the complex issues of taxation and accounting simple for my clients and to save them as much money as possible.
